A woman who claims to be the long lost daughter of a dead developer is seeking a claim to his $94 million estate.
Thirty-one-year-old Ashley Mengoni says her father is Fred Mengoni, who died in February 2018 and whose portfolio includes at least six apartment buildings in Manhattan. The New York Post reports the woman says she is a product of Mengoni's brief marriage to Christine Foisy in 1986.
Fred Mengoni's lawyer Charles Smalls is denying the woman's claim, saying Mengoni married Foisy when she was pregnant - and she later told the developer he was not the father.
Smalls says he went to court to unseal Mengoni's divorce record to inspect the claim.
Ashley Mengoni couldn't be reached for comment.
