Father, Son Shot to Death in Brooklyn: Police

A father and his son were fatally shot at a public housing complex in Brooklyn Friday night, the NYPD said Saturday.

Police were called to the Langston Hughes Houses at 315 Sutter Ave. in Brownsville for a report of an assault just before 10:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Dupris Moore, who had been shot in the head, and 47-year-old Dupree Dunbar, who sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest, on the 14th floor. Both men were declared dead at the scene.

They were later identified as father and son, investigators said.

There was a heavy police presence at the scene late into the night, with more than a dozen officers and investigators around the entrance. The building was put on lockdown for a period of time, according to police.

There have been no arrests, police said.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 88-577-TIPS.
