NY Duo Allegedly Sold Drugs That Killed 18-Year-Old Staten Island Woman: DA

A pair of men from Staten Island have been indicted for selling heroin and fentanyl and are linked to the overdose death of an 18-year-old woman, prosecutors say.

Victor Berlin, 22, and Deshawn Bracey, 27, were indicted on charges of criminal sale and possession of heroin and fentanyl, Richmond County District Attorney Michael E. McMahon announced Friday.

Berlin allegedly sold the drugs to undercover cops nine times between December 2016 and March 2017, prosecutors said. Bracey is accused of making a single sale within the same time frame.

Berlin is accused of selling the drugs that caused the death of an 18-year-old Staten Island woman, according to prosecutors.

A majority of the sales were made in Dongan Hills, Staten Island, authorities said.
