Police are looking for a man in a white pickup truck who approached at least two kids on Long Island this week.
The man drove up to an 11-year-old girl as she was walking on Oak Street in Bellmore at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The man tried to get the girl to come over to his truck my waving his hand, but she became frightened and ran away.
Just 15 minutes later, the man drove up to a 10-year-old boy walking on Dewey Avenue in North Merrick. He told the boy to get into his truck. The boy ran away.
Police said the white pickup was an older model and that the man was wearing a red or black baseball cap with the letter “B” on it.
