Car Careens Into Long Island Home; Driver Accused of DWI: Police

A man was arrested after a car drove into a home on Long Island, police said.

No one was seriously injured in the crash, but the collision left the front of a Valley Stream home visibly damaged and the car’s front-end crippled.

Police say they received a call about the crash at 11:28 p.m. Sunday.

Video from the scene at Heritage Court shows two light-colored sedans next to the home’s smashed bay window.

According to police, Manny Pizarro, 19, crashed into a parked car in the driveway and then careened into the house.

Pizarro was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was charged with reckless endangerment and DWI.

He suffered a neck injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatement.

It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
