The World's Second Nutella Cafe Is Coming to New York, Reports Say

Imagine a cafe that serves a variety of sweet and salty treats, all featuring one common ingredient--the beloved hazelnut-chocolate spread, Nutella.

Don’t imagine too hard -- you will soon be able to see for yourself when an official Nutella cafe opens in Greenwich Village.

The cafe will take up a 2,200-square-foot space located at the base of a residential condominium development at 116 University Place at East 13th Street, according to real estate site Commercial Observer.

It will be only the second of its kind in the world, according to the site.

Nutella has pop-up shops in various locations across the country, but the first official restaurant, run directly by the Italian chocolate manufacturer Ferrero International S.A., opened in Chicago earlier this year and has since attracted large crowds of enthusiastic Nutella fans.

The Chicago location is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves both sweet and savory foods, including waffles, croissants, crepes, paninis, fondue, coffee drinks and more. The full menu can be viewed here.

Even the shape of the restaurant is designed to resemble a jar of the chocolatey spread.

The New York cafe's release date has not yet been revealed.
