A 26-year-old New Jersey nursery school assistant and summer camp counselor was arrested on federal charges of child pornography possession, prosecutors announced Tuesday.
James Paroline of Red Bank was arrested Tuesday morning after a search turned child porn on his computer, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said.
The investigation into Paroline began in March when Paroline allegedly downloaded video and photos depicting child pornography. Law enforcement traced the recipient's username and P address back to Paroline's home, said Fishman.
Paroline appeared in federal court in Trenton Tuesday to face two counts of receiving images of child pornography over the Internet, He's been detained pending a bail hearing Thursday.
Authorities didn't name the nursery school or camp where Paroline was employed.
A message was left with the public defender representing Paroline.
