Has the Department of Transportation gone philosophical?
A sign, seen in Sheepshead Bay at the corner of Emmons and Ocean Avenues, has forced drivers to contemplate the very meaning of time as they search for a parking spot.
The sign says "NO PARKING: Other Times." Very existential.
What are "other times?" Is it a typo? Will it be fixed? If not now, when?
A spokesperson from the DOT told The Brooklyn Paper (who took this photo of the sign) that they didn’t know what the sign meant either, but will “inspect the area and update the signage if necessary to clarify if and when parking is permitted.”
For now though, drivers will be left to ponder the meaning — and also ponder whether its worth risking a ticket to park there.
