Two heavily-used NJ Transit rail lines are experiencing residual delays in both directions after a person was fatally stuck by a train near a station in South Orange Wednesday.
NJ Transit informed the public via Twitter around 12:51 p.m. that Morris & Essex and Gladstone lines were suspended in both directions after the fatality that took place near Mountain Station. However, by 1:08 p.m. the lines resumed service with 30-minute delays in both directions.
In some cases, according to NJ Transit, a number of Morris & Essex trains have been cancelled, while others faced delays of up to 45 minutes.
