NJ Sign Language Teacher to Perform at Super Bowl

Bruce Springsteen isn't the only New Jerseyan performing at the Super Bowl.

Kristy Lynch, a sign language teacher from Bergenfield, has been chosen to interpret "America the Beautiful" in sign language.

Lynch will interpret for the singer Faith Hill, who is scheduled to perform the number at the Super Bowl pregame show.

Thirty-year-old Lynch tells The Record of Bergen County that she paid her own $1,000 airfare to get to Tampa. She says signing at the Super Bowl is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Her next goal is to interpret for a baseball game at Yankee Stadium.

Lynch teaches sign language at Bergenfield and Dumont high schools.
