Authorities say gunfire in Newark has left two people dead and two others injured.
NJ.com reports the first shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says one man was shot and killed and two others were wounded.
A short time later as investigators were still processing the scene of the first shooting, gunshots rang out again, leaving one woman dead.
Authorities didn't immediately identify the victims.
It's unclear if police have any suspects in the shootings.
