Authorities say a man found naked and beaten on a Newark street this week has died from his injuries.
But a possible motive for the attack has not yet been determined.
NJ.com reports that 20-year-old city resident Robert Hayes was found Thursday morning in the area of Highland and Verona avenues in the city's North Ward. He was taken to a hospital, but died there later in the day.
Essex County prosecutors say the incident is under investigation, but they did not disclose further details.
No arrests have been made.
