NJ Motorcycle Crash Kills Brooklyn Man, Injures Another

A New York City man was killed and another was seriously injured when their motorcycles crashed in New Jersey, authorities said Saturday.

Waldemar Aguilar, 34, of Brooklyn, was riding southbound on Routes 1&9 in Linden with a group of motorcyclists when he and another rider lost control of their bikes shortly before midnight Friday, Linden police said.

Aguilar's motorcycle then struck a car that was stopped at a traffic light. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there a short time later.

The injured man, also a 34-year-old Brooklyn resident, remained hospitalized Saturday in serious but stable condition. But his name and further details on his injuries have not been disclosed.

No one in the car Aguilar struck was injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
