Citing Flu, NJ District Closes All Schools for 2 Days

A school district in New Jersey has canceled classes at all of its schools for two days because so many students are sick with the flu.

Clinton Township schools were canceled on Friday and Monday, according to a letter from Superintendent Michele Cone

The letter said students were returning to school before they were fully recovered, "putting themselves and others at risk."

The schools would be closed to limit exposure to the flu and disinfect the facilities, Cone said.

She also urged students to get vaccinated.

Schools in Clinton Township include Spruce Run, Patrick McGaheran, Round Valley and Clinton Township Middle School.
