Ninja Burglar Behind More Than 100 Break-ins Takes Plea Deal

A man nicknamed the Ninja Burglar who confessed to committing more than 100 break-ins over a decade has accepted a plea deal with authorities in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

District Attorney Michael McMahon says Robert Costanzo pleaded guilty Thursday on Staten Island to three counts of burglary. Officials say the statute of limitations expired on many of the other cases.

McMahon says the charges carry a 25-year prison sentence.

Authorities say Costanzo mainly broke into occupied homes in wealthy areas at night. They say Costanzo wore all black clothing, covered his face and often used a ladder to gain entrance through a window or terrace
