NJ School Bus Driver Drove Drunk With 20 Kids on Board: Police

A New Jersey school bus driver was arrested after police say he drove drunk while behind the wheel of a bus filled with kids.

There were 20 children aboard Angel Colon's school bus Wednesday morning when he got into a “road rage incident” with another vehicle around 8:30 a.m. in Lakewood, police said.

No children were reported injured in the incident.

When an officer got to the scene, he noticed an odor of alcohol coming from Colon’s breath, according to police. He allegedly had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes as he talked with the officer.

Colon, 54, was arrested for driving under the influence and charged with endangering of children.

He was waiting to be transported to Ocean County Jail Wednesday evening.

It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
