A power outage in New Jersey left about 12,000 customers in Bergen and Hudson counties in the dark for about four hours Monday.
PSE&G officials say a malfunction at two substations in north Jersey knocked out power in North Bergen Township, Fairview Township, Edgewater and Cliffside Park.
All power was restored by 9 p.m.
Friday, a transformer malfunction at a switching station in Bergen knocked out power to about 7,000 customers in Fort Lee, Edgewater and Cliffside Park.
A customer refers to an account with the utility, not an individual person, so the total number of affected people could be much higher.
