Heavy Fog Makes Way for Sun, High Temperatures

The heavy fog will burn off into partial sunshine and above-average temperatures

Dense fog has brought visibility down to zero throughout the tri-state, but the fog should lift by mid-morning and make way for partial sunshine.

Some of the worst spots for fog are across New Jersey and eastern Long Island, and the fog is especially bad at John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports.

Partial sunshine will send temperatures well-above normal today, into the mid-60s.. A round of showers will arrive after midnight tonight and last through Tuesday morning.

The temperatures will dip into the 40s Tuesday, and a gusty breeze will make it feel even colder.

The rest of the week looks blustery and cool with highs in the 40s under partly to mostly sunny skies. The weekend will be sunny, with highs Saturday and Sunday near 50 with lows in the 30s.
