A northern New Jersey father accused in the beating death of his 5-month-old son has been indicted on murder charges.
Yoseop Choi also faces two counts of child endangerment and single counts of aggravated assault and hindering in the indictment handed up by a Bergen County grand jury.
The 39-year-old Fort Lee man initially was charged with aggravated manslaughter and other counts after the child died last summer. He pleaded not guilty to those counts when he was arraigned last August.
Choi remains jailed on $1 million bail.
Authorities have said Choi shook and punched his son over a two-month period. They say the boy had a severe head injury and a healing rib fracture when his father took him to a hospital after the child went into cardiac arrest.
The child died several days later.
