NJ Boys Taken By Father Found Safe in Florida

Two New Jersey boys who authorities say were taken by their father during a custody dispute have been found safe in Florida.

Hopatcong Police Lt. Thomas Kmetz tells NJ.com Kristopher Dohm was found with his sons at the Royal Palm Inn in New Port Richey, Florida, late Wednesday night.

Dohm was taken to the Pasco County Jail. He's accused of interference with custody and unlawful flight.

Authorities say Dohm left New Jersey with 8-year-old Parker and 7-year-old Jaxon in violation of a custody agreement in early February.

Their mother reported them missing on Feb. 9 after Dohm failed to bring the children to her Roxbury Township home.

The boys' mother, Sandye Dohm, had been publicly pleading for their safe return. Early on Thursday, a Facebook page dedicated to finding Parker and Jaxon announced in a post that the children had been found and that their mother was on her way to Florida.

"Our prayers have been answered," the post said. "We just got word that Parker and Jaxon have been found in Florida!"
