A New Jersey man has been accused of molesting a girl over the course of nearly three years, prosecutors say.
Walter Rodriguez, 36, was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police arrested the Hackensack man after a 15-year-old girl allegedly accused him of molesting her several times beginning when she was 12 years old, prosecutors say. She only recently told someone about the assaults.
It’s not clear how Rodriguez gained access to the girl.
He’s being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, prosecutors say. Attorney information for the man wasn't immediately available.
