The treasurer of a suburban New York Little League has admitted stealing more than $400,000 from its accounts.
The Rockland County district attorney says 57-year-old Joyce Bidnick of New City pleaded guilty Wednesday to grand larceny.
He says Bidnick regularly made out New City Little League checks to herself or to cash. He says she covered up the thefts by falsifying account balances.
Prosecutors say Bidnick has already paid back more than half of the theft. Her plea agreement calls for full restitution and up to a year in jail.
In 2010, the treasurer of the Little League in nearby Stony Point admitted stealing over $156,000. She was sentenced to probation and paid the money back.
