Unmanned MTA Bus Rolls Into Parked Car, Sparks Chain Reaction

An unmanned MTA bus rolled backward, striking a car that then hit two other cars in a chain-reaction fender bender on the Upper West Side Wednesday, authorities say.

MTA officials say the bus driver got out of the vehicle at the end of his shift without properly securing the brakes. Three cars were damaged in the accident on the corner of 96th Street.

The investigation is ongoing.
