A Miami man was arrested in New Jersey after a traffic stop uncovered $67,000 in cash in a hidden compartment and fentanyl, authorities say.
Fermin Castillo, 38, was driving a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 3 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 6, when he was stopped by authorities as part of an investigation, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed an electronically operated hidden compartment in the rear floor that contained more than $67,000 and a small amount of fentanyl.

Castillo is facing charges of money laundering and possession of a controlled substance.
He is scheduled to appear in court July 25.
