It was a joyous occasion that brought out celebrities like Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Serena Williams and countless other, but it turns out the baby shower that was fit for royalty made a difference.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, celebrated her baby shower stateside in a swanky hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side Wednesday, and now, the flowers that adorned the festivities will bring joy to others.
The flowers were donated to Repeat Roses, an organization that donates flowers to various charities.
On Thursday night, flowers from Markle’s baby shower were donated to cancer patients around the city, including those staying at Hope Lodge NYC, the American Cancer Society says.
Repeat Roses picked up the Lewis Miller Design bouquets following the baby shower and delivered them to several charities around the city, including Hope Lodge, according to the American Cancer Society.
The American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, located on 32nd Street and featuring 60 rooms, provides free lodging to cancer patients traveling to New York City for lifesaving treatment.

Repeat Roses also surprised Unique People Services (UPS) Vyse Avenue individuals with the floral arrangements.
Unique People Services is a nonprofit that provides supportive housing and programs and services to individuals and families living with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities and HIV/AIDS.
“Every time we receive flowers from Repeat Roses and their generous donors, and I see the joy they bring, I am always reminded that. Flowers always make people feel better--- they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul, Yvette B. Andre, UPS Executive Director, said in a statement.
The 37-year-old duchess is due in late April.
