Police Release Photos of Robbers Who Dressed Up as Hazmat Crew in Jewelry Robbery

Police have released photos of two robbers who dressed up as hazmat workers and walked into a jewelry store in New Jersey, claiming there was an environmental mishap.

The pair entered Aydin Coins & Jewelry in Ramsey at about 11:20 a.m. Monday, wearing the equipment and claiming they were from the FBI, according to Chief Bryan Gurney.

One of the men was wearing a type of hazmat suit, and both were wearing goggles and masks.

The suspects pulled a gun, tied up the workers and robbed the store of jewelry and cash.

They fled on foot.

The victims ran to a nearby business and yelled for help, their arms still tied behind their backs.
