Hatchet-Wielding Robber Drags Woman onto Ground in Queens: NYPD

A man armed with a hatchet robbed a woman walking in Queens, dragging her to the ground and snatching her bag before running away, police say.

The attack happened at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, when the 23-year-old victim was walking in the area of Woodside and Roosevelt avenues, police said. 

The man approached her from behind and attacked and robbed her before running away northbound on 64th Street, according to police. 

The suspect is described as about 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches and 145 pounds, last seen wearing black shoes with red shoelaces, a black baseball cap and a black jacket.
