Man Walks Into Police Station, Offers Cops Money and Drugs to Get Out of Future Tickets: Officials

A man allegedly walked into a Long Island police department and offered officers money and drugs so that he wouldn’t get pulled over and get any tickets in the future, officials say.

Jacob Tal, 21, of Great Neck Estates, is accused of walking into the Great Neck Estates Police Department on Saturday and offering cops inside cash and drugs if they didn’t pull him over and give him tickets in the future, authorities said.

The officer refused and placed Tal under arrest, police said.

Tal is charged with third-degree attempting to bribe a public servant and was arraigned in court Sunday, according to police.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Tal had an attorney who could comment on the allegations against him. It also wasn't clear why he allegedly bribed police.
