An elderly man is critically hurt after he was struck by a cement truck while crossing the street, authorities said.
The 82-year-old victim was crossing Chrystie Street on the Lower East Side with a walker on Thursday afternoon when a cement truck driver hit him, police said.
The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is in critical condition, police said.
The driver remained on the scene. No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
