Man Struck in Head in Bronx Shooting: Police

A 30-year-old man was struck in the head in a Bronx shooting and police are now looking for the suspect.

Police said the victim was standing on Leland Avenue in Parkchester at about 1 p.m. Tuesday when the suspect began shooting.

The victim heard gunshots and began to run, but was struck in the head, according to police. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he is in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a red baseball hat and a black jacket. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
