Man Stabbed, Robbed after Offering Loan to Attacker: NYPD

The victim offered to loan the suspect $80

Police are looking for a man they believe stabbed and robbed a 63-year-old Manhattan man who had agreed to loan him money.

The suspect, Dwayne Glover, 54, asked to borrow money from the victim on Wednesday morning at his home in Washington Heights, police said. The victim gave Glover $80, but he then demanded $1,000, investigators said.

The victim responded that he didn't have that much money and Glover then stabbed him twice in the chest, police said.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Glover is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 888-577-TIPS.
