NYC Man Apparently Killed for His Clothes Was Young Dad: Reports

A large memorial of candles and tribute messages sat outside the apartment building where a 22-year-old man was shot to death, apparently for his clothing.

Raul Melendez was shot multiple times in his Bronx home Friday morning by two teens who then stole his clothes, according to police. He died at the scene.

Surveillance video shows the two suspects fleeing the building, one of them with a bundle of clothing under his arm.

A memorial honored Raul Melendez outside his Bronx apartment building.

Melendez was the father of a 1-month-old boy and worked as a maintenance worker at a Brooklyn school, the New York Post reported

"We love you bro - forever in our hearts," one note at the memorial read Sunday night.

Police were still looking for the two teens Sunday.
