Man Robbed After Taking Photo of Robbery Suspect on City Bus: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who robbed two people on a city bus Wednesday in the Bronx.

The man was onboard a northbound BX15 bus in Morrisania around 6:30 p.m. when he took an undetermined amount of cash from a female passenger, the NYPD said.

The woman left without reporting it to police, but a 28-year-old man who was also on the bus took a photo of the suspect after he saw the robbery take place.

When the suspect realized the man had taken a photo of him, he grabbed the man’s backpack, which contained credit cards and an iPhone 6, and ran off the bus at Third Avenue and East 168th Street, police said.

Police released a photo of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
