Port Authority officials say they have arrested a New York City man after he left a bag full of stolen credit cards in his rental car.
Officials said Saturday that 33-year-old Carl Black was arrested on charges of identity theft, grand larceny and 28 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Black rented a car at Kennedy Airport on Sept. 15 but did not return it.
After Port Authority officials later retrieved the car near Black's home, they found a bag inside containing several credit cards belonging to other people.
Black then called to claim the bag and Port Authority police set up a sting.
The officers posed as Enterprise car rental employees. Police say Black was arrested when he signed papers claiming the car and bag were his.
