Authorities are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man who was found unconscious on the grass in a park in Chelsea early Tuesday.
Police responding to a 911 call about someone unconscious in Chelsea Riverside Park at West 23rd Street and 12th Avenue shortly before 6 a.m. found the man dead. He has not been identified.
Authorities said there were no obvious signs of foul play. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died.
