A man who followed a woman into her Queens apartment building and fought her in an attempt to steal her bag is being sought by police.
The suspect followed the 29-year-old victim into her building in Flushing at about 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.
Once they were on the second floor, the suspect grabbed the woman’s bag and tried to take it, police said. The victim resisted and the suspect pushed her into the wall. The woman kept fighting him off until he took off without the bag, police said.
The woman was uninjured in the attempted robbery.
Police released photos and surveillance video of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
