Police on Long Island say a man has died after his mobility scooter collided with a pickup truck.

Suffolk County police say the victim was pronounced dead at a hospital after the crash on Monday in Lindenhurst. His name has not been released.

Police say the driver of the pickup, 62-year-old John Glomann of Keeseville, New York, was not injured.

It is not immediately clear if the Glomann is facing any charges related to the incident.

Both the pickup and the scooter have been impounded for safety checks.
