Man Dies After Apparent Shooting at NJ Laundromat

A man died after he was found shot at a New Jersey self-service laundry, police said. 

Essex County prosecutors and Irvington police said officers were called to the laundry at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Arriving officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

The victim's name wasn't released pending notification of his relatives.

Authorities said the death is under investigation and asked anyone with information to call prosecutors.
