A Westchester man has been arrested for allegedly beating and kicking a puppy in the head, officials said. 

Adam Jeffers from Ossining, NY has been arrested for injuring 7-month-old terrier puppy, Ocho.

Adam Jeffers of Ossining was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him holding down a 7-month-old terrier pup named Ocho and punching and kicking him, according to SPCA.

Ocho was found by SPCA officials to be suffering from swelling on his head and abrasions to his cheek. They also discovered older wounds.

SPCA officials received video footage that confirmed the reports that resulted in Jeffers arrest.

Ocho will receive the veterinary care that he needs and is now recovering at the SPCA, where he’ll be placed up for adoption.
