An elderly man is dead after early morning fire at a Manhattan high rise apartment, police said.
Firefighters responded to a fire in a 10th story apartment on East 80th Street.
Police said an 82-year-old man was taken by EMS to Lenox Hill Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police said there are no signs of criminality. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is continuing.
