Magic Get 24 from Oladipo to Beat Knicks 100-91

Victor Oladipo scored a season-high 24 points, Nik Vucevic added 22 points and 12 rebounds and the Orlando Magic beat the New York Knicks 100-91 on Wednesday night.

Tobias Harris had 17 points and 10 rebounds as Orlando stopped a two-game losing streak. Elfrid Payton finished with 12 points and 11 assists.

Carmelo Anthony had 28 points and 13 rebounds, but the Knicks placed only four players in double figures. Jose Calderon scored 23 points as New York shot just 37.3 percent from the field.

The Magic struggled offensively as well but got enough from Oladipo, who shook off Kristaps Porzingis' big block of one of his shots and scored six points during a 13-4 run that made it 89-74.

Orlando was physical with the Knicks at the defensive end the entire game and it was effective.

The Knicks' best run was the start of the second half, when they scored on their first eight possessions to trim an 11-point halftime deficit to 57-54 on a 3-pointer by Anthony with 5:06 left in the third.

Oladipo responded by repeatedly driving the ball to the basket and no one from New York stopped him. He scored eight points in the last four minutes of the quarter and the first four of the fourth to give the Magic a 76-63 advantage with 10:50 left.

The Knicks had one rally left, scoring seven straight points to get it down to 76-70 on a 3-pointer by Calderon with just under 8 minutes left.

Oladipo kept attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line and that stopped the Knicks' rally. Oladipo, who had taken only 24 free throws all season, was 13 of 15 for the game, with nine of the makes coming in the second half. The Magic hit 11 of 13 free throws in fourth quarter.
