Long Island Teens Broke Woman's Ribs in Attack: Police

Three Long Island teens have been arrested after allegedly punching and kicking a 52-year-old woman earlier this month, causing a concussion and broken ribs, police say.

The woman was walking along MacArthur Avenue in Brentwood on March 7 when she was punched in the back of the head, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. When she fell to the ground, the teen suspects continued their assault, kicking the woman in the abdomen

The suspects did not steal anything, police say.

The woman was taken to the hospital after the attack, where she was treated for the broken bones and concussion, police say.

All three teens were charged with third-degree assault and are set to be arraigned on Tuesday. Two of them are 16 and the other is 17, according to investigators.
