Long Island prosecutors say a foster parent has been indicted on charges alleging that he sexually abused children in his care.
Cesar Gonzalez-Mugaburu, of Ridge, is expected to be arraigned Friday in state Supreme Court in Riverhead.
Suffolk prosecutors say the 60-year-old has been arrested on child endangerment and sexual misconduct charges.
Authorities allege Mugaburu sexually abused foster children who were placed in his care by New York City child welfare officials and a non-profit group on Long Island. Prosecutors say he is accused of victimizing seven children. Their ages were not immediately released.
A spokeswoman for New York City's Administration for Children's Services didn't immediately comment on the allegations.
Attempts to reach Mugaburu's attorney on Thursday night were unsuccessful.
