Long Island Man Charged in Wife's 2010 Death Pleads Guilty

A Long Island property manager has admitted to killing his wife in 2010.

Joseph Jones, 34, of Centereach, pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter in the death of 31-year-old Nicole Tessa.

Suffolk County prosecutors say Jones beat and strangled Tessa and buried her in a shallow grave after she confronted him about selling her Oxycodone pills. Prosecutors say the two were addicted to pills.

Judge John Toomey will sentence Joseph Jones, 34, to 18 and a half years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.
