3 New Jersey Officers Hurt After Chase Ends in Mangled Wreck: Sources

Three police officers in New Jersey were hurt following a high-speed chase sparked by a drug bust, law enforcement sources say. 

Officers were chasing a suspect after a drug bust in Long Branch, according to the sources. Two cars collided near the inection of Ocean Avenue and North Lake Drive, and at least two suspects fled the scene and cops are still looking for them.  

As a result of the crash, three officers were taken to the hospital. Two of them were released by Monday night, and a third was being held overnight, sources said. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. 

Video from the scene shows a mangled police cruiser being towed away on a flatbed truck. 

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
