1. ABC Cancels 'Roseanne' After Barr's Racist Tweet

ABC has pulled the plug on their hit revival of "Roseanne" after the show's biggest star, Roseanne Barr, blasted out a racist tweet. 

The actress' tweet suggested former Obama Advisor Valerie Jarrett was the product of the Muslim brotherhood and "Planet of the Apes." Roseanne deleted the tweet and apologized, but the damage was already done. 

In addition to the show being canceled, Barr was also dropped from her talent agency, ICM.

2. Catch Another Glimpse of Manhattanhenge 

Did you get to experience Manhattanhenge on Tuesday?

That is the phenomenon when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the Manhattan street grid causing the light to illuminate both the north and south sides of every cross street in the borough.

3. Beware of a Very Contagious Dog Flu Going Around NYC

There is a very contagious strain of dog flu going around the Big Apple. 

At least three dozen dogs in Brooklyn have been infected in less than a month and a few cases have popped up in Manhattan. The airborne virus can be transmitted through contact with other dogs, but also through water bowls and toys. 

The virus poses no threats to humans.

4. Massive Literary Events Coming to New York City This Week

Manhattan will turn into a book lover's paradise this week. 

The 2018 Book Expo kicks off Wednesday at the Javits Center. It is a big one-stop shop for aspiring writers to learn about the publishing industry.
