1. Mega Millions, Powerball Prizes Come Down to Math, Long Odds

For all the anticipation about whether someone will finally snag the gigantic Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots, the games come down to two things: simple math — and very long odds.

But there are some quirks and surprises about the math equations that likely will soon vault someone into stratospheric wealth after the jackpots grew for months without a winner.

The cash option is still massive, at $904 million for Mega Millions and $354.3 million for Powerball.

2. Man Detained by ICE After Army Pizza Delivery Arrested Again

The Ecuadorean immigrant who was held for deportation after he delivered pizza to a Brooklyn Army installation, before a judge ordered his immediate release last July, has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife and keeping her from calling police.

Pablo Villavicencio, whose arrest became a national cause and a flashpoint for the immigration debate, was taken into custody on a fourth-degree misdemeanor and was still in a Nassau County detention center as of mid-morning, sources said.

According to court documents, Villavicencio allegedly pushed his wife against a wall and slapped her body after an argument, and then purportedly took her phone so she could not call for help.

3. Know This Newly-Engaged Duo? Man Wants to Give Them Picture

A Michigan photographer is asking for the collective power of the internet to help him find a couple of whom he took a stunning picture in what he believes was the moment they got engaged at Yosemite National Park.

Matthew Dippel tweeted the photo, saying he took it at Taft Point at Yosemite on Oct. 6. "Twitter help, idk who these two are but I hope this finds them," he wrote.

The image is jaw-droppingly incredible, capturing the moment the man gets down on one knee and takes the woman's hand. They're standing on a cliff, nothing around them except the park's majestic mountains.
