1. Video Shows Officer in NJ Punching Woman During Beach Arrest

A shocking video has sparked outrage on the Jersey Shore. 

A police officer is seen on video punching a 20-year-old woman on a beach in Wildwood after she was stopped for underage drinking. The woman says she was tackled after she refused to give her name and tried to back away. 

Police said the video doesn't tell the whole story and that the woman attacked one of the cops. The incident is under investigation.

2. New Bike Share Program to Be Tested in NYC

Just after Citi Bike celebrated its fifth anniversary. the bike share is about to get some competition. 

The mayor's office says it will be testing out a new bike share program later this summer in the outer boroughs. 

All the bikes will be dockless, meaning you won't have to ride around looking for an open parking spot. Rides will only cost a dollar or two.

3. NYC Councilman Hatches Plan to Turn Resting Place Into Park

The final resting place for as many as one million New Yorkers could be getting new life as a park. 

A New York City councilman announced a plan to make Hart Island publicly accessible for the first time. 

The island near Rikers has been a mass grave for the city's destitute since 1869 and families can currently only visit at limited intervals.
