1. De Blasio Wants Police to Stop Arresting Pot Smokers

Mayor de Blasio wants the NYPD to stop arresting people for smoking pot. 

De Blasio said he would rather have police hand out summonses and even though he has some concerns, New York City needs to plan for the eventual reality of the state legalizing marijuana. 

The mayor's remarks came less than a week after he directed the police department to overhaul its marijuana enforcement policies in the next 30 days.

2. NYPD Probing Sex Allegations Against Mario Batali

Things are heating up once again for Mario Batali. 

The NYPD confirmed it is investigating sexual harassment allegations against the celebrity chef and restaurateur as another woman has accused Batali of sexual misconduct.  It marks the fifth accusation in about six months. 

In a statement to NBC News, Batali "vehemently" denied the allegations.

3. A Poop-Themed Pop Up is Coming to the Big Apple

Something stinky is coming to the Big Apple: a poop-themed pop up. 

Tushy Bidet and Poo-Pourri have teamed up for an immersive experience on the Lower East Side that will boast a toilet-shaped ball pit, a disco Port-a-Potty photo booth and a scent bar.
