1. Diseases Spread by Mosquito, Tick and Flea Bites Have Tripled in the United States, the CDC Reports

A new report shows the number of people getting diseases transmitted by bug bites has more than tripled in recent years.

It also shows that tick and mosquito-borne diseases are rising steadily in the Northeast.

2. NJ Farm Creates Unique, Jersey-Inspired Ice Cream Flavor -- Taylor Ham

Taylor Ham is not just for breakfast anymore. 

Windy Brow Farms in Sussex County has created a limited-edition Taylor Ham and french toast ice cream flavor to kick off their "only n New Jersey" themed ice cream collection.

3. Giant Flowers With Personalities Are Taking Over Avenue of the Americas

Sixth Avenue in Brooklyn is now home to some giant inflatable flowers as part of an art installation by Playlab, Inc.

The eye-catching artwork consists of six different flowers all with a name and back story. 

The colorful installation will be in bloom between 44th and 55th Streets through June.
